The 35th America’s Cup has a style, and it’s preppy, specifically the whimsical type perfected by Vineyard Vines.
Vineyard Vines has been designed the “official style” of this edition of the competition for the oldest trophy in international sport. They are launching a capsule collection at the Louis Vuitton World Series Bermuda this weekend and full line for Summer 2016.
The collection includes polos, ties, t-shirts, belts and hats with the usual Vineyard Vines charm and wit. Clever prints in Caribbean hues mix with traditional cues for a colorful, fun collection.
Fans of Vineyard Vines will be pleased to see a nice selection of their signature neckties, from a more conservative stripe style to the ones that always make you smile, like a print of America’s Cup Catamarans with Bermuda Shorts.
The collection will be sold online exclusively at vineyardvines.com. This weekend’s Louis Vuitton World Series Bermuda will be their first onsite event partnership.
“Sailing has always been part of the brand’s DNA,” said Ian Murray, Vineyard Vines CEO and Co-Founder. “We recognize that many of our customers share our love of the water, and that sailing is one of the places where they enjoy ‘Everyday Should Feel This Good’ moments.” It’s a particularly special collaboration for the two founders who are brothers.
“Sailing is in our blood. We’ve spent most of our lives on the water, and a good portion of it dreaming that we were competing in the America’s Cup – the pinnacle of sailing.”
The full Vineyard Vines America’s Cup product line, including men’s, women’s and children’s apparel and accessories will be sold throughout the duration of the Louis Vuitton Cup World Series schedule and 35th America’s Cup in 2017.
“The America’s Cup is proud to be working with Vineyard Vines – the Official Style of the America’s Cup,” said Harvey Schiller, Commissioner of the Americas’s Cup. “Vineyard Vines brings a fun, fashionable approach to their collection and are excited by their partnership with the America’s Cup.” We here at Sail Couture are too.
